It is so much fun searching for a treasure. I have a rule that I will never pay more than $50 for anything Today I found a Bauer pottery matte white cowboy hat ashtray for $1.00 (I collect any matte white). I always intend on selling everything I find but  I keep more than I sell. Happy hunting!

I do the same thing...I buy with the intent of flipping most items but I do keep a lot. I collect Belgium and American pottery. I keep what appeals to my eye...if something is of decent value, all the better.
I really love going out searching for just about anything. There is a thrift by me that sells things for pennies. They can't be bothered sitting on the internet like the do at Goodwill trying to price things.
I found a lot of pieces by the mysterious California potter, Frank Marino...known for his big round bowls at this place.
